People's Revolutionary League

The People's Revolutionary League is a Revolutionary Communist organization created in response to the rising tide of fascism and the abandonment of government institutions to meet the needs of members of the community.

The goal of PRL is to unite the Surplus and Worker populations in one movement and build Left-Unity within the Quad Cities – working to lay the groundwork for a competent, effective and organized Left, capable of providing care to and solidarity with the most vulnerable in the Quad Cites.

With a focus on uniting the most vulnerable populations who are subject to daily exploitation, surveillance and harassment by the governing apparatus of the US. We recognize the humanity and dignity of all people and emphasize anti-imperialism, anti-racism and anti-capitalism as intertwined struggles.

We believe through an emphasis on education, solidarity and communal direct action in the face of a system that fights to eradicate community and promote alienation, that our action must be grounded in revolutionary theory as this is absolutely necessary for a truly competent united Left movement.

Volunteer with the Quad Cities People's Kitchen

The Quad Cities (Iowa and Illinois-based) People's Kitchen Initiative emphasizes communal direct action to support the most vulnerable members of our community. We focus on providing mutual aid—not charity—to those who are food insecure, impoverished, or homeless through weekly mobile food distribution. We recognize that we have more in common with these members of our community than with any CEO, billionaire, or politician.

We recognize the humanity of those whom the system has dehumanized and relegated to a subjugated underclass. Our aim is to serve those who have been abandoned and disenfranchised by capitalism. The goal of justice is to advantage the most disadvantaged, and this starts with community work on the ground, reaching those most affected.

Our work is rooted in inherently anti-capitalist, anti-imperialist, anti-white supremacy, and anti-patriarchal thought. Volunteering with us means you:
